If you are like me it is so hard to make myself get still and quiet before the Lord. With all the changes we are experiencing on a daily basis our minds can be nonstop. We have family members and friends loosing their jobs and income. We have those that are in the hospital or nursing homes that can’t be visited. Children home from school and sports being at a stand still. So many interruptions that can cause our minds to continually try to figure it all out and want to fix it.
I know I struggle with constant thoughts and ‘to do’ lists that I feel must be done before I can relax. As you watch on tv or see on your phone, people are responding to the things happening in many different ways. It feels like we should just be able to relax. You would think that being at home, life should be easier not more stressful.
I want to encourage you to take it a day at a time. Relax! Rest in the Lord, He is your refuge. He is your strength. Get into your quiet place. God is desiring more time with you. Put your worship music on and enjoy communion and conversation with your Heavenly Father. With the mandate to stay home, many people have time that they may not have had before. Use that time wisely and make God a priority in your daily life.
Spending time in His presence will bring the peace and the patience you need. He said in his word that He will not leave you or forsake you. He is right here with you. It can be hard to be patient when we are wanting things to happen right now. Don’t let the enemy rob you of your joy. How fulfilling it is to spend time with Him. He will speak to you, He will comfort you, He will protect you, He will provide for you and He has provided healing for you- He loves you! He gave us the Holy Spirit who is our friend, he is our comforter and is always with us. Allow the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in these times. Allow the presence of God in your quiet place and in your home with your family. There is no greater presence than the Presence of God to bring you peace and bring you joy!
Let’s take time to get off the internet and tv and find your quiet place with Him, renewing your mind, worshipping and dwelling in the secret place. It will build up your spirit and restore your soul. Many of you are exercising
your body, I encourage you to exercise your faith as well and maintain your joy!

Prayer Father I thank You so much for Your peace. I thank You that You are with me and my family. That You will not leave me. Lord I trust in You, I know You know all that is going on and that You have a plan for me and that You are working. Lord I pray for Your presence to fill me and to be in my
household. Forgive me Lord for letting the world take first place in my life right now and for not coming to You first. I know You are drawing me near and I will take time to have my quiet time with You Lord to be able to hear from You and also to worship you. Lord I love You so much and I thank You that You are working in me and my family every day. Thank you for the Holy Spirit, who is inside of me and speaking to me. I thank You that the Joy of the Lord is my strength and I believe with my whole heart that You are working in me. Thank you Heavenly Father, I love you so much, in Jesus Name, amen.
