As I lay in bed last night I found myself in that “between zone”. I was not completely asleep and yet not really awake. I started hearing an old old hymn playing in my spirit. “It is well with my soul”. Just those words stirring over and over and I felt a warm peace and sense of comfort surround me.
I knew that “it is well” because I know that God is still in control. With all things being transmitted through all types of media, there is the possibility of having your thoughts taken away from that simple truth. Some people are consumed by concern over what is going to happen. Some Christians are having unrest in their spirit. But the bottom line is that God is still in control.
And, since I have that assurance that God is in control, it is easy to see how it is well with my soul. With the complete awareness of how great is the God that we serve, we can confess His truths in our lives. We can con-fess that by His stripes we have been healed. COVID-19 was healed on the cross. Through the Holy Spirit, those people that are seeking the proper treatment will be guided to that answer. We can confess that we walk in the peace that passes all understanding. A peace that comes from know-ing how mighty our God is and how much He loves us.
It is well, it is well with my soul.
“When peace like a river, attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to know It is well, it is well, with my soul.”
